What We Do
Project Components
We design and pilot a support-service model that any unit can replicate — so that service members, veterans, and their families receive the support they deserve.
- 01 Continuous new School cohorts — any brigade or corps can apply and strengthen its own support system.
- 02 Care Standard — a single methodology any unit can adopt, not just the teams from the first cohort.
- 03 Real change for families — service members, veterans, and their families get support that actually works, not just support that exists on paper.
- 04 Institutional resilience — support services become part of the formal structure: their own people, their own budget, their own processes.
- 05 Systemic impact — the experience of these services shapes recommendations and change at the state level, rather than staying a local initiative.
Care standard
We use the outcomes of the training to develop practical knowledge and models that can be shared with others and implemented across multiple units.
Community
A network of support services built around a shared code of ethics — for exchanging experience, mentorship, and direct communication between teams. Case review sessions, forums and roundtables, and joint advocacy for change will all grow with each new School cohort.
Funding
Financial support for those who successfully complete the School — funding to launch and develop their support service.

We invest in support tools, solutions, and organizations capable of providing comprehensive support to service members and veterans at the most challenging stages of their journey: during service, the transition to civilian life, and the first years of returning to their communities. We do this through our own projects and by supporting effective partner organizations.
The foundation does not provide individual assistance. Instead, we work with institutions and models that can improve the experience of many veterans, with a particular focus on active service members — the largest yet one of the least supported groups.
